Job Title: Accountant/Office Manager
Location: The Caring Place, 101 Quapaw Avenue, Hot Springs, AR
Hours: 28-32 hours per week, flexible schedule

The Caring Place is a trusted non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has been serving the Hot Springs community for over 30 years. We provide a stable, positive work environment, supporting individuals and families affected by Alzheimer's disease.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Accountant/Office Manager to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining our financial health and supporting our dedicated staff. The ideal candidate will have accounting software expertise, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to working with staff, participants, and families.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of accounting including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.

Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Assist with the hiring of new employees and assure that all employee files are complete and maintained.

Ensure financial records are up-to-date and in compliance with legal requirements.

Assist with on-boarding of participants and assure that all documentation of participants is complete.

Collaborate with the director to communicate financial and operational results effectively to board members and any outside parties.

Maintain organized financial files and records.

Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the organization.

Prepare correspondence with benefactors such as donor acknowledgement letters.

Demonstrate compassion and understanding in interactions with families and participants, although no direct care is required.
Qualifications:

Proficiency in QuickBooks (required).

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills using WORD, EXCEL.

Ability to work collaboratively with a small team.

A compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor in dealing with Alzheimer’s patients and their families.

Must be in good health and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Salary:
Salary is commensurate with experience. Complete training and ongoing support will be provided.

The Caring Place is a non-profit adult day care program in Hot Springs, AR, providing compassionate care for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Our mission is to support families by offering respite care while ensuring a nurturing, engaging environment for participants.

Position Summary:
The Grant Writer will identify, research, and write grant proposals to secure funding that supports The Caring Place’s programs, operations, and special projects. This role is critical to maintaining and expanding resources that allow us to continue serving families in need.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and identify grant opportunities that align with the mission and needs of The Caring Place.

Write compelling, clear, and concise grant proposals, letters of intent, and reports for submission to foundations, corporations, and government entities.

Maintain a grants calendar to track deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements.

Collaborate with the Executive Director to gather program data, financials, and other information required for grant proposals.

Monitor and ensure compliance with grant requirements, including timely submissions of progress and final reports.

Cultivate relationships with current and potential funders to sustain and grow funding opportunities.

Assist in developing a case for support that highlights The Caring Place’s mission and measurable impact.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development, with a successful track record of securing funding.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to analyze and organize program data to present a compelling case for support.

Strong research and organizational skills with attention to detail and deadlines.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the Executive Director.

Compensation: Negotiable based on experience.

The Program Director oversees daily operations, supervises staff/volunteers, recruits participants, fosters donor relationships, and ensures a positive environment. Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and basic computer/bookkeeping knowledge are essential. Must be physically active and mission-driven.
Key Responsibilities:

Staff Management: Supervise, train, and evaluate employees/volunteers; foster a collaborative work culture.

Program Growth: Recruit participants, engage caregivers, and plan meaningful activities.
